Hertz Just Ordered 175,000 EVs
Hertz just ordered 175,000 electric vehicles. Sounds great. But, they ordered them from GM. GM produced 7000 EVs last quarter. Can they really ramp up production any time soon?
Hertz said they would buy those cars over the next five years. Deliveries will start in early 2023 with the Bolt EV and EUV.
If this happens, it's a good thing. Assuming that EVs really are nicer to drive, people renting an EV will get more people exposed to the EV experience.
